AABE Greater Boston: A History

The Chapter’s Articles of Organization were approved by the Secretary of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts on September 4, 2014.  On September 26, 2014, the AABE National Association Board of Directors approved the Greater Boston Chapter's charter.  On October 24, 2014, the Internal Revenue Service approved the Chapter as a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit entity, effective as of September 5, 2014. And, on March 13, 2015, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts recognized the Chapter as a tax exempt entity.

At that time, the Greater Boston Chapter is comprised of energy professionals representing not only National Grid, but, Columbia Gas of MA, Ernst & Young, Eversource, London Economics International, Massachusetts Department of Public Utilities, Northeastern University College of Engineering, the law firm of Preti Flaherty Beliveau & Pachios, and Utilidata.

We welcome everyone to join us in our efforts to ensure that underrepresented minorities have a voice when it comes to energy issues that impact their communities and to help us build the pipeline of people of color to enter the energy industry.
